~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Renton Regional Fire Authority – No one present to report.
King County Sheriff – Officer Sam Shirley was present to answer questions regarding non-security enforcement services they can provide.  He will email Chris the process for obtaining the service.
Molasses Creek/Park Pipeline – Chris reported that the construction was scheduled to be complete by the end of September however while replacing the old pipe it was determined that the 30 feet of steel pipe was bad as well and therefore needed to be replaced.  It is not known at this time how or if this will delay construction completion.
Homeowner Appeals – Nothing to report.
Welcoming Committee – Three new owners were welcomed this last month.
Community Events – Eileen reported that she spoke with another HOA regarding their garage sale and they do one every other year.  Perhaps this is something to research for the Fairwood West HOA as well.
Pride In Ownership – The home located at 16221 135th Ave SE was chosen for the pride in ownership award.
Minutes of the Previous Meeting – A motion was made 2nd and approved to accept the July meeting minutes as amended.
Under fire authority replace the word “everything” with “everyone”.
Under unfinished business change “security” to “non-security related enforcement issues outside of our authority”.
Financial Report – The monthly financial report was accepted as presented.
Treasurer’s Report – Ray will present the proposed 2018 budget at the next meeting.
Architectural Control Report – Two new requests were sent in to the PO Box.  They will be given to Christine.
Common Properties Report – Brandy reported that she has an estimate to take care of the trees that were reviewed by the arborist.
The entryway tree that was damaged via the car accident a few months back seems to be doing ok.  Ray contacted the person that hit the tree and she is willing to pay to repair anything that is damaged.
Covenant Enforcement – All homes in violation were reviewed.
Unfinished Business – See the outstanding action items below.
Paul reported on the new website.  www.fairwoodwest.org.  It is live and functional however not all the aspects are setup yet.
New Business
The meeting adjourned at 8:41 pm.
The next two meetings of the Fairwood West Homeowners’ Association will be Wednesday September 20th and Thursday October 12th both at 7 pm.  These meetings are in the portable building at the Nativity Lutheran Church, 17707 140th SE.  The October meeting is the annual meeting of the HOA.
All residents are welcome to attend.
Respectfully Submitted,
Barb Simeona
